SWQC and the Bohol trip cut short

Presenting Team Manila for SWQC minus Sally

Being in cebu again was fun. Staying in hotels, eating out, I was looking forward especially for my Bohol trip, but it was cancelled. So Marc, Ben and I just went to some new places like Tops, had dinner at D' Creamery along Escario and a dessert at Milk Cebu at OsmeƱa.

Last day was spent buying souveneirs at Ayala, had a 2 pizza lunch at Da Vinci and a 7:30 flight back home.

Of course, a major highlight in this trip was the lovely Boneless Crispy Pata at Dessert Factory....NYARM!

I can't wait to go back...hopefully for a longer period... :)

Oh, the presentation went fine....I guess.... :|

more than i could ever juggle and i can't even juggle to begin with

for once, i had more than my share of my work. not only i was juggling my module, where coding should start tomorrow and from the 280 lines, i've finished a whopping 18...whoopeee, i was also handling something pretty big (for me), IT procedures.

i wasn't doing them. i was "supervising" the new members (who are from cebu, smart, and have worked on IT procedures before thank God) over the procedures. they seemed to be doing fine from the last time i checked. and i made sure i wasn't all hitler, slave driver shit.

these are the times i feel really old, too old, growing up too fast.

plus, being an ... "extrovert" (hyper-happy-on-crack) person, i was picked to present one of our projects in the annual SWQC contest.

which means i'll be flying to Cebu thursday night next week with the little boy, toffer and jogu plus people from FOMA

i'm scared shitless...but it's okay...i'll be practicing my presentation to my groupmates friday. and to our manager sometime soon...too bad our japanese manager won't be there to see how i present it, might give me a few pointers...

Your programmer personality type is:

DHSC

You're a Doer.

You are very quick at getting tasks done. You believe the outcome is the most important part of a task and the faster you can reach that outcome the better. After all, time is money.

You like coding at a High level.

The world is made up of objects and components, you should create your programs in the same way.

You work best in a Solo situation.

The best way to program is by yourself. There's no communication problems, you know every part of the code allowing you to write the best programs possible.

You are a Conservative programmer.

The less code you write, the less chance there is of it containing a bug. You write short and to the point code that gets the job done efficiently.

Miss, pakitabi po yung kotse niyo

and here is my first violation ticket after driving for four years without it....

//insert picture here later

i totally missed a red stoplight. the yellow guys pulled me over and gave me their usual lecture plus the whole "akin na lisensya mo" (give me your license).

i do not have backup that time. nor am i friends with the mmda head. so, i reluctantly gave him my license. which he issued me a ticket to get it for 5 working days.

oh well. it was a great day. *sarcasm*

i went home, got to play ro the whole night, ate yummy grilled food from manang at the sidewalk. and started to feel a bit more cheered up.
